iBlue lets you wirelessly acquire, record, and share material information by connecting to your computer or smartphone device. The mobile application allows users to check material hardness, temperature, and collect data with an easy to use interface.
WHAT ARE THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR SMARTPHONES, TABLETS, AND COMPUTERS SUPPORTED BY iBlue?
The iBlue is supported and has been tested for a wide range of smartphones, tablets, and computers that are Bluetooth enabled.
HOW DOES THE iBlue WORK?
The iBlue uses Bluetooth wireless technology to form a wireless link between the iBlue and your Bluetooth enabled device. Once paired with your device the iBlue is capable of sending data from three different input ports on the iBlue. These ports consist of a Thermocouple, 3 pin Metal Hardness Probe connection, and a USB HID enabled port. The data sent from the iBlue appears as a keyboard entry on your device, so no special software is required you can receive the readings right into any textbox and programs such as excel and notepad. HOW DO I INSTALL THE ITAMCO APPS TO MY MOBILE DEVICE?
The Apps are downloaded to your mobile device directly from the Apple App Store, Google Play, Windows Marketplace, or the BlackBerry App World. Enter the stores from your mobile device and search "ITAMCO".
I CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO TURN IT ON, OR OFF OR PAIR THE iBlue. WHERE CAN I FIND HOW TO DO THIS?

HOW DO I TURN THE iBlue ON AND OFF AND WHAT DO THE RED, BLUE, AND GREEN LIGHTS MEAN?
To power the iBlue ON. If the device is OFF, press the button nearest the LED lights once to turn on. The GREEN LED lights up to indicate ON status.
To power the iBlue OFF. If the iBlue is ON, press and hold the button furthest from the LED lights for 5 seconds to turn OFF. The RED LED blinks 4 times to indicate off status.
If the iBlue is ON and connected to mobile phone. The BLUE LED light will remain ON.
If the iBlue is ON but disconnected from the your device (trying to connect) the BLUE LED blinks once every second.
HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TO CHARGE IT?
The iBlue has an internal rechargeable battery. Based on typical usage, the iBlue has a maximum of two days of battery life.
WHAT IS THE RANGE OF THE BLUETOOTH WIRELESS TECHNOLOGY?
The range is about 6 meters or 20 feet.
HOW MANY iBlues CAN BE CONNECTED TO ONE DEVICE?
The maximum number with some mobile devices is 7. This is based on a technology limitation. It seems that some mobile devices cannot simultaneously handle 7 iBlues and are better off with 1-4 maximum.
CAN I USE OTHER MANUFACTURER'S BLUETOOTH HEADSET FOR HANDS FREE TALKING WHILE USING THE iBlue?
Yes you can. The iBlue uses a different Bluetooth communication link than the headsets so they can both work together with your device.
HOW MANY SMARTPHONES, TABLETS, AND COMPUTERS CAN THE iBlue BE CONNECTED TO AT ONCE?
It can only be connected to one Smartphone, or Tablet, or Computer at a time.
WHY IS THE iBlue BETTER THAN OTHER THERMOCOUPLE DEVICES, PORTABLE LEEB METAL HARDNESS TESTERS, AND USB HID DEVICES?
iBlue is literally one of a kind, there is no other device on the market that can wireless transmit temperature readings, metal hardness readings, and USB HID input from a keyboard, micrometer,
caliper, barcode scanner or any other USB HID enabled device free of any proprietary hardware interface or software. You can use whatever Bluetooth enable device you prefer, smartphone, tablet, or computer. Any operating system, iOS, Android, Windows, Blackberry, Linux etc.
It lets you decide how you want to view your information.
WHAT THERMOCOUPLES CAN I USE WITH THE iBlue and HOW DO I GET THE READING FROM THE iBlue, THERE IS NOT A BUTTON ON MY THERMCOUPLE?
The iBlue works with any K type thermocouple. The ON button nearest the LED lights serves also as the thermocouple input button, so you can press it once to get a single reading from the thermocouple or press and hold to continously get readings to your interface device.
If you receive a "NC" to your device when you press the ON/Thermocouple button on the iBlue then that indicates that you do not have a thermocouple connected to the iBlue or it is not reading properly.
WHAT LEEB METAL HARDNESS TEST PROBES WORK WITH THE iBlue AND HOW ACCURATE IS IT?
Any of the following 3 pin male connector Leeb metal hardness probes will work with the iBlue: D/DC, D+15, E, C, DL, G. Accuracy within +/- 4HL.
WHAT INDUSTRIES OR APPLICATIONS IS THE iBlue USED?

Yes, the iBlue does not have the ability to store any data whatsoever, it can only transmit data that is already available from the instrument or device being used.
